Our History
Restored by His Grace was birthed out of my burden to help women suffering from the weight of shame, guilt and pain associated with the choice of abortion. We have been privileged to minister at The Church on the Way since 2013 under the leadership of Pastors Tim and Deborah Clark and Pastors Dan and Brenda Hicks. Our ministry leaders are volunteers who are trained facilitators, pastors, doctors, nurses, and professional counselors, many of whom have walked in your shoes. It has been our distinct pleasure to witness the hand of God bring restoration in the lives of our participants as He exchanged their ashes for beauty and mourning into dancing.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to journey with you as we together seek Christ for healing spiritually, emotionally and physically from the crippling effects of guilt, shame, unforgiveness and depression often associated with the choice of abortion and the effects of miscarriage. We are a people of hope, “And hope that does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Romans 5:5 NIV
Our mission is my story......
It was Sanctity of Human Life Sunday January 1997. My husband and I were in the sanctuary of our church, The Church on the Way when the Lord revealed the gravity of my sin. In 1976 I was a junior in college living a self-willed life, longing for love in places where I should not have been found. Pregnant, not knowing which direction to turn – I made a decision to abort my first child. My self-absorbed lifestyle led me to a place of valuing cultural ideas and education over the value of human life. In that moment my healing journey began as tears flowed from my eyes and heart. This is my story and it could be yours too. The wounds of brokenness, shame, and guilt were shattered enough to invite grief, a longing for my babies I’d never experienced before. I embraced the Sufficiency of Christ shed blood to redeem ALL of my sins, even my sin of abortion. I have been Restored…

Ministry Models
We recognize the sensitive nature of your journeys and respect the confidentiality of those we serve. Our Christ centered Support groups and Retreats are offered in safe environments, where we gather in small groups with leaders who have walked in your shoes, having made similar choices and experiences. Together we seek the heart of God by studying His Word, discovering the truth about His character, affirm our identities in Him and expose the strongholds of the enemy.
Support Groups
The Life After Abortion/Miscarriage Support groups we lead are designed to help you reveal the areas of guilt, shame and unforgiveness that abortion and miscarriage often bring. Our loving, trained, non judgmental leaders have witnessed the manifest Presence of God’s love bring healing. The study is biblically based and Spirit led. We use “Forgiven and Set Free” Bible study workbook by Linda Cochrane, meet once annually for thirteen weeks beginning with a core teaching on “The Character of God,” working through relief/denial, anger, unforgiveness, depression, deliverance and tools to walk out your new found freedom.

Retreats
Our Restoration retreats are offered annually using the same study guide as our support groups, however at a more intense pace over a three to four day period. We gather in small groups, on beautiful grounds with activities for individual self reflection, contemplative times with the Lord and interactive group exercises. Worship in song is central in our retreat model as well as our support groups.

Statement of Faith
We believe God is Creator and Sustainer of everything and everyone “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.” Colossians 1:16,17
We believe Christ is the Incarnate Son of God and by His shed blood on the Cross brought reconciliation to God and man for our sins, and to all who believe . “This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” 1 John 4:10
We believe in the Holy Spirit as the Third Person of the Godhead Who indwells all believers. Who convicts, comforts, delivers and guides all believers

We believe that the Bible is the inherent Word of God
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.” 2 Timothy 3:16
We believe heaven is the eternal destination for all those who believe in the Lordship of Christ
“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” John 5:24
We believe in the forces of darkness, whose main assignment on earth is to destroy the saints of God

We believe that life begins at conception and ends at natural death
